Ten months later Kris and Maddy had another set of beautiful set of twins. A boy and a girl again. Tabitha Madison Letang and Tristan Mitchell Letang were adorable little babies and Maddy and Kris were exhausted parents. Lucy and Luc were excited about being big sister and big brother to the babies.
Maddy was at home relaxing with the babies one morning. Luckily the twins were in preschool so Maddy had some time to herself. Kris was coming home from practice and bringing the two of them lunch.
Kris walked into the house and it was quiet. He put down the bags of food and kicked off his shoes and then wandered into the house. He walked up the stairs and checked in the nursery and saw that Tabitha and Tristan were sleeping. He smiled and fixed both of the twins blankets and then walked down to their bedroom. He walked into see Maddy sleeping and looked like an angel. He walked to the bed laid down next to Maddy facing her. He touched her cheek and then leaned down and kissed her lips gently. He smiled to himself as he watched Maddy sleep. Luckily this pregnancy had gone smoothly for Maddy and the twins were healthy little miracles. Before Kris realized it he feel asleep snuggled next to Maddy.
A cry startled Kris and Maddy and they both woke up and Maddy saw Kris and smiled.
"Hey" Maddy said smiling.
"Hey" Kris said kissing Maddy gently again, "I will get them you stay put".
Maddy sighed and laid back down and watch Kris walk out of the bedroom to deal with two crying babies. A few minutes later Kris walked back into the bedroom with two adorable babies in his arms. He handed Maddy, Tabitha and he kept Tristan and sat back down on the bed.
Maddy laid Tabitha on the bed and smiled at her new baby daughter and Kris laid Tristan down next to his sister. The babies just giggled and made baby noises.
"They are so precious" Maddy said looking at Kris and he smiled at her.
"They are amazing" Kris said and leaned over to Maddy and kissed her.
They played with their children and then had lunch.
After lunch Kris went to get Lucy and Luc at daycare and brought them home and it was then family time at home.

Chapter 26

"I just hope its not twins again because that was an adventure" Kris laughed and Maddy laughed too.
They headed back into the kitchen and enjoyed a nice lunch with the twins. It was a nice relaxing afternoon for the family. Then that evening they all headed to the Consol Center for a game.

A couple months later on Maddy and Kris were at the doctor's office for an ultra sound to see how the baby was doing. Maddy had been feeling really rough during this pregnancy and Kris was concerned because he did not like Maddy not feeling well or getting hurt. Chapter 25
A few weeks later Kris and Maddy were both home from the hospital but were both still recovering from the wreak. They were relaxing in the den with Maddy's parents and the twins. Kris knew that Maddy's mom, Ann, was not his biggest fan so he was purposely holding Maddy close and kissing her or whispering into her ear just to bug Ann. Maddy knew what was Kris was doing and just played along. Maddy noticed that her mom was irritated at the two of them but Maddy did not care and she was enjoying the attention Kris was giving her.
After a little bit Ann got up after a little while and headed into the kitchen to get away from the overly sickening display of affection that Kris was showing her daughter. Ann still could not figure out why Maddy was so love with Kris. She was trying to busy herself by making a snack for the twins when Maddy walked in and jumped onto the counter.
"Mom was is your deal with Kris?" Maddy asked even though she knew the answer.
"Sweetie you are my baby and I guess I really want to know why you love Kristopher so much? Just explain it to me" Ann said walking over to Maddy and leaning against the counter that Maddy was sitting on.
Maddy bit her lip and thought for a moment, "Kris just makes me happy and he makes me smile. When he holds me, I know I am safe and that nothing can hurt me because he will not let anything happen. He makes me laugh and he bugs me at the same time but it works. We understand each other and know the others thoughts. We are soul mates, partners and best friends and it just works. That is why we are in love".
Ann smiled at her daughter, "Madeline, I understand now why you love him and I am going to stop being so stubborn about not wanting you two to be together. I guess I just never gave you a chance to really explain it and I did not want to hear it. But I see it in your eyes and I am now accepting you and Kris as a couple and love you and just want you to be really happy".
"Oh mom thank you so much and I love you too" Maddy said jumping off the counter and they hugged.
At that moment Kris walked into the kitchen and stopped and was about to turn around when Maddy saw him.
"Kris come here" Maddy said and Kris walked over to where Maddy and Ann were standing.
"Kristopher, let me just say that Madeline finally explained to me that you love her more than anything and I know she is happy and you will take good care of her and your children. I am not going to try and break you two up anymore and I accept your marriage and life together" Ann said and giving Kris a hug which surprised Kris and he looked over at Maddy and she smiled.
Ann pulled back and just smiled and reached her hand out to Maddy and pulled her to Kris and Maddy leaned in against Kris and then Ann walked out of the kitchen.
"What was that all about?" Kris asked looking very confused. Maddy just laughed at poor confused Kris and then just leaned up on her tiptoes to kiss him and then she said, "We just got our official blessing from my mom and no more of her telling me that you are not good enough for me".
"Good because no matter what you are stuck with me forever, Maddy. I love you" Kris said kissing Maddy again.

Chapter 24

Maddy's dad left to give Maddy some time to think about the fact that she had been pregnant and now because of the accident she was not pregnant. Maddy put her hand on her abdomen and closed her eyes and starting thinking back to when this baby had been conceived.

Maddy sat up and Kris sat next to her and pulled her onto his lap. Maddy snuggled into Kris's chest as Kris held her close.
"I have a surprise for you" Kris said and Maddy raised her eyebrows and looked unsure.
"Really?" she asked slightly confused.
"Yes and its because I know you really hate that the twins are still at the hospital and you are home so I think we need a special night together" he said.
Maddy smiled at Kris and he leaned in for a magical kiss that made Maddy's toes curl.
Kris got up holding Maddy in his strong arms and took her into the bedroom. He opened the door and Maddy's eyes went wide, "Oh my god Kris this is gorgeous". Kris smiled and kissed Maddy's cheek. He gently laid Maddy on the bed and knelt over her. He looked at her and she looked at him. They just stared into each others eyes for a few minutes and then Kris helped Maddy out of her clothes and then he got naked quickly too.

Chapter 23
Life seemed awesome for Kris and Maddy and the twins. But life likes to throw curve balls too and one was about to show up.
Maddy and Kris were out at an event for the Penguins organization and having fun. The twins were being babysat by Maddy's parents. Maddy and Kris were heading to the car and they got in and headed out. They were driving along and Kris looked out the review mirror and saw a van that seemed to be following them. Kris then looked at Maddy and did not want to worry her so he changed lanes just to see what the van would do. It did the same thing and now Kris was concerned for their safely. Maddy noticed that Kris seemed tense and kept checking the review mirror.
"Kris what's going on?" Maddy asked looking at Kris.
"Nothing" Kris said trying to stay calm.
"That's not true and slow down we are not in a race" Maddy said freaking out.
"Sorry baby but there is a van following us and something feels oddly familiar" Kris said still driving like he was a race car driver. Maddy turned to see the van and said, "Push it Kris move".
Kris and Maddy zoomed around and the van continued to follow them. Kris was trying to be careful but at one point out of no where Kris over guessed a turn and the car crashed and then flipped. The van sped off and left Kris and Maddy in their smashed up car.
Maddy's parents were starting to get worried about Maddy.
"Where is she" her mother said, "They should have been home hours ago. I am really worried".
"OK let me call some people and see if I can find out what happened to Maddy and Kris" Maddy's father said and got his cellphone out and started making calls.
Meanwhile at the hospital Kris and Maddy were both in surgery to save their lives.
Maddy's father finally found out that Kris and Maddy had been in an accident and were at the hospital. Maddy's parents got the twins out of bed and they all went to the hospital.
When her parents got there they found the doctor.
"How is my daughter, Madeline Letang" Maddy's mother asked.
"We need to abort the baby she is carrying or else she might not make it" the doctor said.
Maddy's parents eyes widened when they heard what the doctor just said but they agreed to let the doctor abort the baby because they wanted their daughter to live. The doctor also said that Kris would be fine too.
Several hours later Maddy was out of recovery and in a room. She saw her parents and the twins all looking at her.
"Mom, Dad why am I in the hospital? What happened?" Maddy asked.
"You and Kris were in a car accident but you will be fine and so will Kris" her dad said.
"Kris is good too. That makes me feel better. I wish I could see him" Maddy said starting to tear up.

Chapter 22

The twins were finally coming home after 3 months of getting healthier. Maddy was thrilled that her babies were finally coming home. The nursery was complete thanks to Kris and ready for Luc and Lucy.
Kris and Maddy were heading to the hospital to pick of the twins and Maddy could not keep her excitement hidden.
"Kris, they are coming home. Oh my gosh I am so happy and this is probably the best day ever" Maddy said with a huge grin.
"The best day ever? What about our wedding, honeymoon, finding out we were having the twins or the day I met you for the first time?" Kris asked sounding disappointed and then giving Maddy a sad puppy dog face.
Maddy rolled her eyes and said, "Fine today is one of the bestest days ever in my life. You are right all those other days are amazing too."
"I feel better now" Kris joked with Maddy.
They got to the hospital and up to the neonatal unit. Maddy practically ran to the window of the nursery and just stopped to look at the babies. Kris smiled at Maddy and finally caught up to her and put his arm around her waist and kissed her temple. Maddy turned to look at Kris and smiled at him and kiss him on the lips.
"We get them today" Maddy smiled and Kris smiled too.
The doctor came out and talked to Maddy and Kris to explain the raising of preemies. Finally the nurses came out with Luc and Lucy and gave them to their parents. It was time to take home the babies.
Kris helped Maddy get Luc and Lucy into their car seats to head home. They were all settled in and off they headed home.
When they got home, Maddy rushed out of the car to get her babies out of the car and into the house. Kris had a hard time keeping up with Maddy because she was going a thousand miles a minute with excitement that her babies were finally home.
They got the twins out of their car seats and laid them on a blanket in the living room and Maddy just sat next to them and watched them intently. Maddy had finally settled herself down and was calm and still for the first time that day which surprised Kris but at least now he could catch his breath.
Kris watched Luc and Lucy too with amazement. They were so little and seemed to have personalities. The twins kicked their little legs in the air and made little baby sounds. It was music to both Kris and Maddy's ears.
"Oh my god they are home and now we have to take care of them. Gosh I know they told me what to do but I am so overwhelmed that they are here now" Maddy said.
"It will all come naturally, Maddy" Kris said and took her hand in his and she smiled at him. Then out of no where Luc started to cry and Maddy jumped to pick him up and he snuggled against her cheek which Maddy had been told was a sign that a baby was hungry so it was time to feed Luc.
"It looks like its time for me flash you, Kris" Maddy joked and took off her shirt and maneuver her bra so that Luc to breastfeed. Maddy moved to sit with her back against the sofa and Luc quickly latched on to her breast. Maddy held her baby close and enjoyed the connection with her baby boy. It seemed at that moment Lucy decided to have a fit too and Maddy's eyes went wide.
"I can not feed two at once" Maddy said freaking out.

Chapter 21
Maddy was being released from the hospital but the twins had to stay in the NICU unit until they were healthy to go home. Maddy did not want to leave her babies behind but she knew they needed special care by the doctors and nurses so that helped Maddy's mind.
Maddy and Kris were in the car heading home and Maddy looked out the window at the hospital and a tear feel down her cheek. She quickly wiped it away because she did not want Kris to know she was crying but he figured it out anyway.
"Maddy its going to be ok" Kris said grabbing her hand as she tired to hide more tears.
"Its not fair Kris!"
"I know but they will be home soon".
"They should be in the car with us now like normal new mothers" Maddy sighed.
"Yes they should be they wanted to see the world early so that gives us more time to make their nursery even better" Kris said trying to lighten the mood and calm Maddy down.
"Oh my word, we have not gotten the nursery finished but you are right we have some time now. Not my idea of the best time but you are right they needed to meet the world early because they are Letangs" Maddy said which made Kris grin brightly.
A few days later after Kris and Maddy had gone to visit the twins they were at home working on the nursery. Maddy was told to take it easy which she was by telling Kris where to put everything and once in a while she would pick up something light and put it somewhere in the room. Kris just shook his head but knew that Maddy was just following the doctors orders.
They finished the nursery and were standing in the middle of the room and looking at what they had done.
"Its amazing" Maddy said as Kris held her close.
"Yeah well actually I did most of the work so it has my amazing touch all over it" Kris bragged which earned him a punch in the abdomen by Maddy.
"Ouch" Kris yelped.
"Oh the boy hockey boy is hurt and sad because a girl punched him" Maddy laughed and tried to move away but Kris picked her up and threw her over his shoulder.
"Gotcha now Maddy" Kris said as he walked them back to the bedroom. He proceeded to throw Maddy onto the bed and knelt above her and smirked.
"Now you are my prisoner" Kris joked.
"Oh if only I had a strong handsome hero to save me" Maddy joked back and tried to escape but Kris held her and then proceeded to kiss her senseless.
"If you are good I will not torture you" Kris said continuing his kissing attack on Maddy. Maddy giggled and played along and before they both knew it, it was dinner time and they decided to go out to eat.
After dinner Kris drove Maddy to a local park to take a walk. They walked together in a relaxed silence enjoying the views. Maddy enjoyed just holding Kris's hand and being in the fresh air. There were other people out walking and playing and Maddy realized that even though the babies were in the hospital she and Kris would have them home before she knew it.
As they were walking along Kris looked over at a family and smiled and then he turned to Maddy, "Maddy, I know you just had the twins and I swore I only wanted one child do you want to have more kids?"

Chapter 20
Kris watched as the doctors helped Maddy give birth to the twins. They were extremely tiny and rushed to the Neonatal Unit to help them survive. Kris held Maddy after the twins were taken to NICU. The doctor was hopeful that the twins would be fine but they were very small so time would tell.
Maddy looked at Kris with tears in her eyes, "We might lose them and it would be my fault".
Kris hated hearing Maddy say that it was her fault that they might lose the twins, "Maddy it is not your fault. Don't you dare say that ever again!"
Maddy nodded her head and buried her face in Kris's chest. He held her close and kissed her temple.
The doctors and nurses were working on the twins and hooking them up to machines to help them breathe. The twins named, Lucy Madison Letang, and Luc Matthew Letang, were both struggling to survive.
Back in Maddy's room, Maddy had fallen asleep after her exhausting day. Kris was on his phone sending pictures to his parents and friends. Kris looked at Maddy and watched her sleep and then he got up and headed down to the nurse's station.
Kris stopped at the desk and the nurse sitting there looked up at him, "Can I help you sir?" she asked.
"Yes, I have a question about my wife, Madeline Letang?" Kris asked.
"Sure" the nurse said.
"You know she and I were held hostage a while back and that is when we conceived the twins and Maddy did not know she was pregnant and neither did I. She did not see a doctor for the beginning of her pregnancy and she feels responsible and guilty for the twins being born early. Could she be right?"
"It is a possibility but twins usually come early and are small and I do not want to say that everything will be perfect but hopefully your children will be fine so just be there for your wife and love her, sir"
"Thank you and I will be there for Maddy" Kris said and headed back to Maddy's room. He sat down next to Maddy on the bed and took her hand in his and kissed it, "Maddy I love you and will always protect you as I promised".
Maddy woke up when the nurse came into her room, "Maddy, we want you to come and see the twins now. I think if you see them and talk to them it will help".
"Sure" Maddy said as the nurse helped her into the wheelchair. Maddy looked over at Kris, who had fallen asleep in the couch and she smiled.
"Do you want to wake up your husband?" the nurse asked.
"No, let him sleep he has been through a lot" Maddy said as the nurse wheeled her to the NICU unit.
As Maddy was wheeled up to the twins incubators she was in shock at how small they looked. She stood up carefully and put her hand in to touch her daughter. Lucy grabbed Maddy's finger and Maddy smiled.
"Hey angel, its mommy and I love you so much" Maddy said as a tear fell down her cheek, "You are so precious to me and your daddy and we will always be there for you and your brother". Maddy then moved to see her baby boy and then continued to talk to both of them.
Kris had woken up and realized that Maddy was gone and went to find her. He was told she had been taken to see the twins. When Kris got to the NICU unit he saw Maddy talking to the babies. He smiled and thought that maybe seeing them and talking to them would make Maddy realize that she was not at fault for the twins being premature. Kris walked over to Maddy and put an arm around Maddy and she turned to see Kris and smiled at him, "They are so precious Kris and they are ours".
"Yes they are and we are lucky to be their parents" Kris said and kissed Maddy.
They both spent more time talking and letting the twins grab their fingers until Maddy got tired. They headed back to Maddy's room and got settled and had dinner.
Kris told Maddy what the nurse had said about twins and that made her realize everything would be fine and they prayed together for the twins health and hopeful progress of getting stronger soon.
Maddy looked at Kris with tears in her eyes, "We might lose them and it would be my fault".
Kris hated hearing Maddy say that it was her fault that they might lose the twins, "Maddy it is not your fault. Don't you dare say that ever again!"
Maddy nodded her head and buried her face in Kris's chest. He held her close and kissed her temple.
The doctors and nurses were working on the twins and hooking them up to machines to help them breathe. The twins named, Lucy Madison Letang, and Luc Matthew Letang, were both struggling to survive.

Chapter 19
****Warning Adult Content****
Kris and Maddy knew they needed to find a new house because Maddy did not want to live at her parents pool house. Kris decided to contact a realtor to find a house that was perfect for both of them.
Kris and Maddy were checking out houses with the realtor and when they drove up to one particular house and Maddy's eyes lit up with excitement. They got out of the car and Kris had a feeling this was the one but they still needed to see the inside. They walked in and Maddy's gasped at how gorgeous the open floor plan.
"Oh my this is beautiful" Maddy said smiling. Kris was happy that Maddy was smiling and excited. She had been through so much and the recent stress by her mother was not something Kris wanted for Maddy especially with her being pregnant. He wanted her happy and relaxed so this was a good sign about their future.
"It is an amazing house" Kris said putting his arm around Maddy waist as he looked around too.
The realtor gave them the tour and then let them talk alone.
"Sweetie what do you think of this house?" Kris asked looking at Maddy and holding her hand.
"I love it. What do you think?" Maddy asked looking at Kris.
"So then its the one, right, baby?" Kris asked making sure he got the yes from Maddy.
"Yes Kris this is the one. Let's buy it. I can see raising the twins here and being a family here" Maddy said leaning over to Kris and kiss him. He kissed her back and smiled.
Kris and Maddy talked to the realtor and started the paperwork and after a few days they were the proud owners of a house in Pittsburgh.
A week later they were all moved in and Maddy and Kris were enjoying unpacking and getting used to their new house.
"Kris, I am so happy" Maddy said walking over to Kris and hugging him.
Kris put his arms around Maddy and smiled, "I am so glad that you are happy. That is all I want for you is to be happy".
"I am super happy now. I have you, these little munchkins growing inside me and now our own place. And I feel safe and loved in your arms" Maddy explained and kissed Kris.
"I only want you to feel loved and safe no matter what" Kris said kissing Maddy again. Then Kris picked up Maddy and carried her back into the bedroom.
"Hold your horses Hot stuff" Maddy joked.
"What sweetheart?" Kris asked as he gently laid Maddy on the bed and then started to kiss her earlobe and neck.
Maddy giggled and let Kris kiss her and she let her hands roam his body. She enjoyed as they just made out.
Later that night Kris set up a romantic picnic in their new living room because they had no furniture. He set up a blanket and all the food and then started a fire in the fireplace. True is was summer but Kris wanted to really set a romantic setting for Maddy.
When Kris had everything perfect he went and found Maddy in their bedroom. She had decided to take a nap after their fun make out session earlier. Kris moved to lay next to Maddy and gently woke her up.
"Hey beautiful, dinner is ready".
"Sounds good, give me just a second to freshen up".
Kris waited on Maddy and then when she came out of the bathroom he took her hand and led her to the living room.
"Oh wow Kris this is so sweet" Maddy exclaimed and turned to give Kris a quick kiss. Kris helped Maddy sit down because it was a little hard with her baby belly. Then Kris and Maddy enjoyed a romantic dinner in front of the fire.
After dinner Kris cleaned up and told Maddy to just relax and enjoy the fire. Maddy did and a few minutes later Kris joined her and sat down behind her. He held her and they just snuggled together.
That night Kris and Maddy made love in their new bedroom. Kris knew how to love his wife so perfectly. He kissed her everywhere and she touched him in his sweet spots too.
Life seemed perfect until the next morning when Maddy woke up with feeling weird and believing that her water broke but it was two months early for the twins. But she shook Kris to wake him up.
"Kris, something is up with the twins. You need to get me to the hospital now" Maddy said freaking out.
Kris woke up to Maddy sounding very upset and jumping up to help Maddy to get her to the hospital quickly.
They got to the hospital and Kris was told he had to wait. Kris waited and about an hour later Kris was taken to where Maddy was resting.
"Kris, the doctor said that the twins are coming so I am really scared because its too soon for them to be born" Maddy said crying. Kris moved to her side and held her hand and leaned down to kiss her forehead, "I love you Maddy and everything will be fine. I am not leaving your side".
Maddy relaxed knowing that Kris was staying put and holding her hand, "I love you Kris". Kris smiled and kissed Maddy again and then they waited for the new adventure that was their children to arrive.

Chapter 18
Maddy's dad was calling Maddy's cell phone but she was ignoring it because of how her mother treated Kris. She was looking at her phone as it was ringing for the hundredth time and Kris came over and sat down next to her on the bed.
"Answer it sweetheart" Kris said.
"No, I will not talk to them after my mom told me to make you give up your rights to the twins" Maddy said looking at Kris and then her phone stopped ringing.
"Madeline, I know you are upset at her for what she said but they are your parents and probably want to know you are fine" Kris said as he put his hand on Maddy's abdomen.
"I am too upset with her to talk to her right now. I would say something hurtful now so when I am ready to talk to her I will".
"Fine when you are ready to talk to her then call her. Right now I think we both need to get out of the room and do something fun" Kris said getting up off the bed and held his hand out to Maddy. She took his hand and he helped her up.
They headed out of the hotel room and then got into Kris's car and they went for a drive. They ended up at a park. They got out of the car and went for a walk along the Monongahela River. It was nice to get out and just wander along the pathway. Kris and Maddy did not talk and enjoyed the scenery as they held hands. It was peaceful and fun and thankfully no one bothered Kris which was a plus for their walk. They ended up at a playground that no one was playing on so Maddy walked over to the swing and sat down.
"Push me" she said with a huge smile on her face. Kris obliged and started pushing Maddy. After a few pushes Kris moved back as Maddy stated swinging on her own and then Kris sat down on the one next to Maddy and started swinging too.
"This is fun" Maddy giggled and Kris laughed too. They swung until they it they both were getting hungry. They left and headed back to the car and then went to a cool little diner that they both liked.
As they were enjoying their late lunch, Maddy's cell phone went off again and she pulled it out and Kris grabbed it and answered it.
"Hello" Kris said.
"Hello this is not Madeline. Who is this?" the other person said.
"Its Kris and who may I asked is this?" Kris answered politely.
"This is Madeline's mother Ann. Can I please speak to her?" Ann asked annoyed that Kris had Maddy's phone.
"She is not able to come to the phone so I can give her a message" Kris said.
"Fine, tell my daughter she needs to come to her senses and leave you and find someone else. Sorry to be so blunt about it but its best for Madeline" Ann explained.
"Maddy can not leave me because she is my wife and with that Mrs Chase, I will let you go. Have a great day" Kris said obnoxiously and hung up.
"Who the fuck does she think she is anyway. Sorry baby I know she is your mother but seriously. She has ticked me off to the point I completely understand where you are coming from now. Shall we head back to the hotel?" Kris asked exasperated.
"I am so glad you see why I am so pissed at her and yes we can head back" Maddy said smiling at her amazing husband. Kris paid the bill and they left and headed back.
They got back to their very nicely clean hotel room and snuggled close on the bed to watch a movie. At one point Maddy looked up at Kris, "Thank you".
"What are you thanking me?" Kris asked confused.
"For being who you and I love you" Maddy said smiling and leaned up to kiss Kris. He kissed her back and said, "You are welcome and I love you more, sweetheart and I tell you all the time I will protect you no matter what because you are so special to me".
"I know" Maddy said snuggling back against Kris's chest to watch the movie.

Chapter 17

Kris and Maddy left the restaurant they headed back to the hotel. As they were waiting for the elevator to go up to the room, Kris was holding Maddy close and nibbling on her earlobe and whispering. Finally the elevator came and they got on it and headed upstairs. "I can carrying you over any threshold I want because you are my wife and I love you" Kris explained and then kissed Maddy again. Kris then walked with Maddy in his arms and the gently dropped her onto the bed. Maddy giggled and watched Kris take off his jacket and tie. Then he leaned down so that he was on top of Maddy and then kissed her again.
Kris slowly undressed Maddy and then looked at her, "God you are so beautiful Maddy". Maddy blushed and then Kris finished getting the rest of his clothes off and then leaned back down.
Kris started kissing Maddy's earlobe and then he moved to her neck giving her more kisses. Chapter 16
Maddy and Kris had gotten settled in the hotel room and had just finished dinner at the hotel restaurant. They were sitting on the bed together watching a movie. Maddy had just fallen asleep on Kris's chest. Kris noticed and smiled so he turned off the television and the light that was next to the bed and got comfortable too.
They woke up the next morning to both of their cell phones going off. Maddy groaned and stretched over to see her phone. Kris reached for his and looked at it and then silenced it. Maddy did the same with her phone.
"Who was calling you baby?" Kris asked pulling Maddy back to his chest.
"My mother, who was on yours?" Maddy said rolling her eyes.
"Marc Andre and he knows not to bug me until at least nine o'clock during summer break" Kris joked and snuggled against Maddy so they could both go back to sleep which they did.
A couple hours later they both woke up again and got ready for their day and then went down for breakfast at the restaurant. While they were sitting there eating Kris looked at Maddy's engagement ring and an idea hit him.
"Let's get married today" he said and Maddy looked at Kris with wide eyes.
"Seriously?" she asked.
"Absolutely".
"Sure but where and who?"
"Just leave it all up to me sweetheart" Kris said and gave her a quick kiss.

She seemed very relaxed and peaceful which she needed after everything. He smiled and thought how he hated to intrude on her peaceful mood but he knew she would not mind him joining her.
He walked in and Maddy turned when she heard the door open and smiled when she saw Kris come in and set his stuff down next to hers.

Chapter 15
Maddy's mom might have seen fine with Maddy finally becoming engaged to Kris but she still positive that Kris's profession was not suitable. Ann was determined to figure out a way to break up this engagement because her daughter should be marrying a doctor or a lawyer.
Ann invited Maddy over to the main house for lunch one day. Maddy walked over to the main house and found her mother sitting at the breakfast bar watching the personal chef making lunch.
"Hello mother" Maddy said making her presence known and then sitting down.
"Darling Madeline, how are you?" Ann asked in her snobby tone that irradiated Maddy.
"I am fine, mother. What did you want to talk to me about because I know you" Maddy said not sounding to happy.
"Let's go into the living room while Chef Jacques finishes lunch" Ann said taking Maddy's hand and leading her into the living room.
They sat down and then Ann decided to say her peace, "You need to break it off with Kris. And you will need to ask him to give up his rights to the twins. So I can find you someone better and willing to be a father to the twins even though they will not be his and I am sure I know a few gentlemen who will fit better in your life than Kris".
"Excuse me" Maddy said totally shocked.
"He is not good enough for you and he does not have a legit occupation for our social circle. And I still am a little surprised at you Maddy not saving yourself until your wedding night. I taught you to better than to get pregnant before marriage".
"I am leaving and not listening to this" Maddy said getting up from the chair.
"Madeline Elizabeth, sit back down now!" her mother practically screamed and Maddy turned around to look at her mother.
"No, you can not tell me what to do after all I am an adult. I will live my life as I wish and it will be with Kris and the twins". Then Maddy ran out of the house and back to the pool house and pulled out her cell phone. She called Kris and was pacing around the living room when he answered.
"Hey" Kris said.
"I need you" Maddy sobbed into her phone and sat down on the nearest chair.
"I am on my way home now, sweetie. Please do not cry" Kris said moving away from his friends for a moment to try and calm Maddy down.
Maddy took a deep breath and answered, "Just get here so you can hold me".
"See you very soon, baby" Kris said and then hung up and told his friends he had to head home.
Maddy cried until Kris showed up and he rushed into the living area and sat down next to Maddy and pulled her into his arms.
"What made you so upset sweetheart? What's wrong? Are the babies ok? Are you ok?" Kris asked several questions and Maddy finally calmed down to talk.
"My mother, I hate her. She told me I had to break up with you because you are not good enough for me" Maddy choked out.
"What seriously?" Kris questioned.
"Yes but that is not the worst of it".
"Worse what could be worse than us being forced to break up?"
"She told me I had to make you give up your all your rights to the twins so that she could find another man for me and he would become their father".
Kris pulled Maddy back to look into her eyes, "How dare she say that. Those babies are mine and yours because we created them out of our love for each other. I will never give my rights up to the twins that pisses me off".
"I know I told her I would not listen to her because I can live my life how I want to and its with you and the twins" Maddy said starting to cry again and Kris pulled her back into his arms and gently rubbed her back to try and calm her down.
"You did the right thing sweetie and I think we need to leave your parents pool house for a while if you want to" Kris suggested.
Maddy pulled from Kris and nodded her head and Kris got up from the sofa and held out his hand to Maddy how took it and he helped her up.
They went upstairs to pack some bags and Kris called a nice hotel near the Consol Arena to reserve a room. Kris took the bags and Maddy grabbed her purse and another smaller bag. They packed up Kris's SUV and headed to the hotel. Maddy was so grateful that Kris would do this for her that she did not know how to thank him.
"Kris, you are so wonderful and I do not know what I would do without you sometimes" Maddy said starting to get upset again. Kris took her hand in his and kissed it.
"Maddy, I told you I would do anything for you because I love you and care about you forever. You are the other part of me and I know you would do the same for me so just relax and we can have a few days alone to enjoy" Kris said with a smile and made Maddy blush.

Maddy was chilling out in the bedroom looking at wedding magazines. She kept hoping in the back of her mind that Kris was going to ask her to marry him. She knew Kris loved her and wanted to be with her forever and she wanted the same.
She was still looking at the magazines when her cell phone started ringing and she looked at it to see Kris calling, "Hey".
"Hey Maddy" Kris said.
"What's up" Maddy asked.
"I was just calling you to see what you wanted for dinner. I figured since I was out and you need rest that I would get some food for us and we could have a relaxing evening at home tonight" Kris explained.
"I am kinda craving Chinese food so that would be awesome" Maddy said and then hearing her stomach growl.
"Sounds good sweetie. I will see you soon. Je t'aime".
"Je t'aime Kris".
Kris showed up and then called out to Maddy, "Hey sweetheart, I am home with Chinese food you requested".
"I am in the bedroom" Maddy called back.
Kris walked in and saw Maddy sitting still looking at wedding magazines. She looked up at Kris and smiled when he walked into the room.
"Hey" Maddy said smiling and her smile was contagious and Kris smiled back and came over and sat down next to her.
"I see you are looking at wedding dresses. Who is getting married?" Kris asked with a smirk.
"Me hopefully" Maddy said batting her eyes at Kris.
"Who are you marrying?" Kris joking asked.
"He is tall, gorgeous, his eyes are heaven to me. He has sexy hair that I love to run my fingers through. He loves me completely and has been my best friend forever and he has helped me through so much in my life. Oh and he is the father to my unborn twins" Maddy said and looked at Kris who smiled at her and leaned down to kiss Maddy.
"Je t'aime beaucoup" Kris said pulling Maddy into his arms.
"So are you going to ask me to marry you because I want to be with you?" Maddy asked seriously.
Kris thought for a moment and then got up and went into the closet and Maddy looked at Kris with curiosity. He came back out and then walked over to Maddy and put his hand out and she took his hand and he walked with her to the balcony off the bedroom.
They got out onto the balcony and Kris told Maddy to sit on the chair and she did and then watched Kris who started to pace in front of her. Then he knelt in front of her and took her left hand in his hand.
"Maddy you have been through so much recently and I do not want you to have to deal with anymore craziness. I want you to have all your dreams come true and I will love you and only you forever so Madeline be my partner in defense and life?" Kris said placing a ring he had been keeping around in a secret place at their home.
Maddy eyes widened at the beautiful princess cut diamond ring that Kris placed on her finger and all she could do was nod her head, yes.
"Is that a yes, sweetie" Kris asked smiling at Maddy.
Maddy finally found her voice and said, "Yes, yes, yes! I want to marry you".
Maddy jumped out of the chair and into Kris's arms and luckily Kris was able to keep his balance so they did not fall down onto the hard balcony floor. Kris carefully got both of them up to a standing position and held Maddy close. Maddy kept looking at her finger with the ring on it. Kris laughed as he tried to kiss Maddy but she turned her face and he ended up kissing her cheek.
"I am guessing you like your ring?" he asked.
Maddy still staring at it said, "Yes I do and its wonderful and perfect".
"I am happy you love it oh I forgot its engraved on the inside".
Maddy took the ring off to look on the inside to see that it was engraved with, 'Madeline and Kristopher Forever in Love'.
"Awwwww Kris you are wonderful" Maddy said finally looking up at Kris and giving him a proper kiss.

Chapter 12
Maddy was resting in the hospital bed after having been checked out by the doctor. The doctor walked back in and asked, "Hey how are you feeling now?"
"Better and a little relaxed but how is my baby?"
"Madeline, I know you have been through a lot so your baby is going to be fine but you need to be less stressed in your life plus there is something else I noticed in your ultrasound today" the doctor said which surprised Maddy.
"What did you see?" Maddy questioned and was starting to worry.
"I noticed a second heartbeat so it looks like you are carrying twins" the doctor explained which made Maddy's eyes widen.
"Twins, I am having twins! How can that be? I am not a twin and neither is my boyfriend and there is not other way because I am not on any medications either so how and why so I am very confused".
"Madeline, sometimes it happens and maybe there are twins somewhere in either of your families but you are having twins".
"Wow so there are two babies growing inside of me. Hey little guys" Maddy smiled and patted her abdomen.
"Well like I said earlier you need to take it easy and rest so that you can have healthy babies. So is there someone here with you to take yyfrieou home?" the doctor asked.
"Yes my boyfriend, Kris Letang, is here with me" Maddy said and then the doctor talked to the nurse and the nurse went to find Kris.
"Kris Letang?" the nurse called out and Kris got up and walked over to the nurse.
"I am Kris".
"Come with me sir" the nurse said and Kris followed her back to where Maddy was resting.
When they got back to where Maddy was resting, Kris saw how relaxed Maddy was and that made him happy.
"Hey sweetheart" Kris said smiling.
"Hey Kris" Maddy said.
"How are you and the baby feeling?" Kris asked coming over to sit next to Maddy on her bed.
"Uhmmm well the doctor told me some that surprised me a lot" Maddy said looking at Kris and biting her lower lip.
"Tell me Maddy".
"I am having twins and so that is one reason why I was bleeding and having pains in my abdomen so I have to really relax and take it easy so the babies will be healthy" Maddy explained and now it was Kris's eyes that widened with shock.
"Twins! We are having twins. Wow I can not believe it but I am happy, Maddy, I am very happy" Kris says and leans down to kiss Maddy gently.
Maddy smiles and kisses Kris back.
They get home and Kris makes sure that Maddy is resting quietly at their home. Kris and Maddy relax and celebrate quietly about the fact that they are having twins that night.

Chapter 11
Maddy and Kris were both asleep after an amazing few rounds of love making. Maddy was tossing and turning because she was having a nightmare. She was dreaming that the guys that had kidnapped her and Kris were hurting her and she screamed, "Stop no please stop. That hurts. No".
Kris woke up and gently grabbed Maddy, "Sweetheart, wake up, you are having a nightmare. Wake up".
Maddy woke up and looked at Kris and snuggled into his arms and cried.
"Awwww baby its fine and you are safe with me" Kris whispered to Maddy as he held her and rubbed her back.
"They were hurting me and I was so scared" Maddy cried harder.
"No one will ever hurt you baby because I will always protect you because I love you more than anyone one else" Kris said holding Maddy as close as he could and kissed her temple.
Maddy calmed down and then moved to look up at Kris. She placed her hand on his cheek and he leaned down and kissed Maddy deeply and then laid her down on the bed.
"Kris thank you for protecting me and making me feel safe. I love you".
"I love you too Maddy and will always protect you".
Kris then pulled Maddy back into his arms and held her and watched her go back to sleep.
A few days later Maddy was out doing some errands. She was in the grocery store and felt a pain in her abdomen.
"Oww" Maddy said quietly to herself and put her hand on her abdomen. She quickly finished her shopping and got into her car. She drove home and felt another pain. She was really scared that something was wrong with her baby. Maddy got home and rushed into the house right by Kris and into the bathroom.
"Maddy what's going on?" Kris asked but was cut off when Maddy slammed the bathroom door.
Maddy saw blood on her pants and freaked out, "Oh god no!"
Kris heard her scream and ran to the bathroom and threw open the door, "Maddy, oh my god, Maddy" and he knelt down next to Maddy and held her.
"The baby, the baby" was all Maddy could say.
"Let's get you to the hospital now, sweetheart" Kris said helping Maddy up and they headed to the car and then Kris drove Maddy to the hospital.
Maddy tired to stay calm but it was hard because she was scared for her unborn baby.
Kris got Maddy to the hospital and the nurses took Maddy in quick to check her out while Kris waited and prayed for the woman he loved.

Chapter 10

Kris was finally going to be released from the hospital after several weeks. He had recovered very well from being shot. Maddy had agreed to let Kris stay at her place so he had someone to watch over him.
Maddy got to the hospital and she went to Kris's room and he was sitting in a wheelchair signing his release papers.

"Hey Maddy" Kris said smiling and handing the papers to the nurse.

Maddy just giggled and then locked up and headed upstairs.

Chapter 9
Maddy was going to be released from the hospital soon but she was not completely sure what their relationship status was exactly so she decided to ask Kris.
"Kris" Maddy said sitting next to him on his bed.
"Yes beautiful" Kris said smiling at Maddy.
"What are we?" she asked with a confused look.
Kris looked at Maddy and took her hand in his, "What do you mean what are we?"
"Are we you know together or I do not know?"
"You are the mother of my child and the woman I love, Maddy" Kris said.
Maddy did not like Kris's answer and got up and went to sit on her bed and pulled her legs close to her body.
"Why did you leave me?" Kris asked confused, "Come back".
"I need more committed relationship with you or its nothing, Kris. I need the man I love to want to be with me. Not just sleep with me and get me pregnant and claim they love me when they do not know what I am to them" Maddy stated strongly.
"Maddy, I am not like that. I did not just sleep with you, we made love several times and we created a life that is now growing inside of you. I do not get where you are getting this crap that I just slept with you to knock you up and not be in a committed relationship" an exasperated Kris said.
"Then tell me what I want to hear" Maddy countered back.
"Maddy will you be my girlfriend?" Kris asked and Maddy smiled brightly and nodded.
She got up from her bed and climbed back into Kris's bed and snuggled next to him. "I guess now we need to move in together" Kris said and Maddy looked up at him and bit her lip.
"Do you want to live together?" she asked.

"Oh yes it is very right so when I can get out of here we need to find a place that will be ours" Kris suggested.

"I will and you need to take care of yourself and our baby".
"Of course I will take care of our baby" Maddy said and then kissed Kris.
A few days later Maddy was finally leaving the hospital but she did not want to leave Kris but he told her she had been through so much and needed to go home. Maddy agreed and kissed him but promised to be back a lot to visit.
When Maddy got back to her parents pool house where she lived and she went over to her bed and flopped down on it. She had forgotten how comfy her bed was and how wonderful it was to open a window and see daylight.
Maddy walked over to her mirror on the back of her bedroom door and turned sideways and put her hand on her abdomen. She looked down at her hand and still could not believe there was a baby growing inside of her.
"Hey baby, its your mother here. I can not believe you are here and I am going to do my best to make sure your life is happy. And I know your dad is happy that you are coming into our life" Maddy was talking to her baby when she heard a knock down at the main door to the pool house. She walked down to the front door and looked through the peephole and saw her mother. Maddy opened the door to let her mother in, "Hey mom, what's up?".
"I just wanted to see how you were doing. You have been through a lot darling so I was just checking on you" her mother said.
"I am fine mom" Maddy said sitting down on a chair next to the sofa where her mother was sitting.
"Maddy, I know that you are pregnant and that Kris is the father. What does Kris think about the baby? Does he want to be a father or marry you or what darling?"
"Kris and I are going to move in together when he gets out of the hospital and then I hope he will ask me to marry him because that is what I want" Maddy said sighing and hoping that answer would make her mother happy.
"I hope he marries you too because it would look bad for the family if we had our only daughter unmarried and pregnant" Maddy's mom, Ann said.
"Seriously mom you are worried about the family's status at this time. Give me a break. I just got out of the hospital after being kidnapped and beaten and almost raped and you are freaking out about me being unmarried and pregnant. Leave my place now. I need rest" Maddy screamed and Ann got up looked shocked and left the the pool house.
Maddy stood up and watched her mother leave. She could not believe what had just happened. She went back upstairs and headed to her bedroom and laid down for nap. She dreamed about Kris and how wonderful he had been towards her when they were being held captive. He was so loving and sweet towards her. Maddy felt lucky and happy with Kris and that was all that mattered.
"Kris" Maddy said sitting next to him on his bed.

Maddy did not like Kris's answer and got up and went to sit on her bed and pulled her legs close to her body.
"Why did you leave me?" Kris asked confused, "Come back".
"I need more committed relationship with you or its nothing, Kris. I need the man I love to want to be with me. Not just sleep with me and get me pregnant and claim they love me when they do not know what I am to them" Maddy stated strongly.
"Maddy, I am not like that. I did not just sleep with you, we made love several times and we created a life that is now growing inside of you. I do not get where you are getting this crap that I just slept with you to knock you up and not be in a committed relationship" an exasperated Kris said.
"Then tell me what I want to hear" Maddy countered back.
"Maddy will you be my girlfriend?" Kris asked and Maddy smiled brightly and nodded.
She got up from her bed and climbed back into Kris's bed and snuggled next to him. "I guess now we need to move in together" Kris said and Maddy looked up at him and bit her lip.
"Do you want to live together?" she asked.
"More than anything" Kris said leaning down and kiss Maddy as his hand moved and stopped on her abdomen, "Hey little guy do you want mommy and daddy to live together?" Kris then asked the baby.
"What did the baby say?" Maddy asked looking at Kris.
"He said yes" Kris joked.
"Is that right?"
"Oh yes it is very right so when I can get out of here we need to find a place that will be ours" Kris suggested.
"I would love it Kris and now you need to get healthy".
"I will and you need to take care of yourself and our baby".
"Of course I will take care of our baby" Maddy said and then kissed Kris.
A few days later Maddy was finally leaving the hospital but she did not want to leave Kris but he told her she had been through so much and needed to go home. Maddy agreed and kissed him but promised to be back a lot to visit.
When Maddy got back to her parents pool house where she lived and she went over to her bed and flopped down on it. She had forgotten how comfy her bed was and how wonderful it was to open a window and see daylight.
Maddy walked over to her mirror on the back of her bedroom door and turned sideways and put her hand on her abdomen. She looked down at her hand and still could not believe there was a baby growing inside of her.
"Hey baby, its your mother here. I can not believe you are here and I am going to do my best to make sure your life is happy. And I know your dad is happy that you are coming into our life" Maddy was talking to her baby when she heard a knock down at the main door to the pool house. She walked down to the front door and looked through the peephole and saw her mother. Maddy opened the door to let her mother in, "Hey mom, what's up?".
"I just wanted to see how you were doing. You have been through a lot darling so I was just checking on you" her mother said.
"I am fine mom" Maddy said sitting down on a chair next to the sofa where her mother was sitting.
"Maddy, I know that you are pregnant and that Kris is the father. What does Kris think about the baby? Does he want to be a father or marry you or what darling?"
"Kris and I are going to move in together when he gets out of the hospital and then I hope he will ask me to marry him because that is what I want" Maddy said sighing and hoping that answer would make her mother happy.
"I hope he marries you too because it would look bad for the family if we had our only daughter unmarried and pregnant" Maddy's mom, Ann said.
"Seriously mom you are worried about the family's status at this time. Give me a break. I just got out of the hospital after being kidnapped and beaten and almost raped and you are freaking out about me being unmarried and pregnant. Leave my place now. I need rest" Maddy screamed and Ann got up looked shocked and left the the pool house.
Maddy stood up and watched her mother leave. She could not believe what had just happened. She went back upstairs and headed to her bedroom and laid down for nap. She dreamed about Kris and how wonderful he had been towards her when they were being held captive. He was so loving and sweet towards her. Maddy felt lucky and happy with Kris and that was all that mattered.

Chapter 8
Kris and Maddy were both having to stay in the hospital to get healthy after their harrowing time while being kept captive. Maddy's baby was surprising doing well considering everything that had happened. Maddy was able to get out of bed and go and sit with Kris, who was still hooked up to several machines to make sure he will get better sooner.
One day Maddy was sitting next to Kris and reading him get well cards that family, friends and fans had sent. Kris was enjoying all the cards and was laughing when Maddy would read ones from fans. Some fans were really humorous and loved him dearly but some were a little crazy.
"Kris, these are hilarious and your fans love you" Maddy laughed as she looked at the last one she had just read.
"Hey what can I say I am popular and loved around the world" Kris joked.
Maddy just shook her head and picked up another card and was about to read it when Kris stopped her and said, "Maddy, hey are you ok?"
"Yes, why?"
"You are jealous of my fans and their love for me" Kris smirked.
"No, I am not jealous. I have no reason to be jealous because I am secure that you love me and you are my best friend" Maddy smiled happily.
"Good to know you are not jealous of my fans but you are not my best friend but my girlfriend and the only woman I love forever" Kris said smiling and took his hand and pulled Maddy's face to his and kissed her deeply.
"Excuse me" a voice said and Maddy and Kris pulled apart, "Sorry to interrupt but I need to check on you both" the nurse said.
Maddy got off of Kris's bed and went to hers and blushed. Kris looked at Maddy and just laughed because she looked so cute when she blushed and was embarrassed. That made Kris love her even more.
The nurse checked both of them out and then left and Kris patted the spot where Maddy had been just few minutes ago and she got up and went back to her spot and snuggled next to Kris as careful as possible. He smiled as she laid next to him and they both ended up falling asleep.
A few of Kris's teammates decided to come and visit him at the hospital that afternoon. Jordan, Max, and Marc Andre headed to Kris's room and walked in and saw Maddy and Kris out cold in Kris's bed.
"Tanger gets lucky in the freaking hospital? How is that even possible?" Max questioned and the other guys laughed which caused Maddy and Kris to stir. Maddy and Kris both turn to see several Pens players staring at them snuggled together in Kris's hospital bed.
"Tanger, you are one lucky dude having a hottie in bed with you at the hospital" Jordan joked and Kris rolled his eyes.
"Yeah Tanger, you never get that lucky with the ladies in other settings but in the hospital you get lucky" Marc Andre laughed too.
"Hahaha you guys are such comedians. And you guys know Madaline" Kris said slightly annoyed.
"Yeah we know Madaline. How are you doing darling?" Max asked using his charming voice that would make most girls get naked instantly for Max.
"Hey Max, I am doing well even though both of us have been through a lot recently" Maddy said smirking to herself.
"That is great to hear" Max said.
"Well if you guys will excuse me for a moment" Maddy said going into the bathroom connected to their room.
After Maddy was in the bathroom the guys were all over Kris, "So what is going on?" Marc Andre said.
"What do you mean?" Kris asked really confused at the question.
"With Madaline, dude? We all know you had the hots for her before all of this but is there something you want to tell us now?" Jordan inquired.
Kris looked at his friends, "She and I are having a baby, so what do you all think of that?"
Max, Marc Andre and Jordan all looked at each other and then back at Kris.
"A baby? Maddy's pregnant? Dude you better explain yourself and how did that come about anyway?" Marc Andre said confused.
"Marc Andre if you do not know how a girl gets pregnant then you need to go and talk to your dad" Max laughed which made Jordan and Kris laugh too.
"Max, I know how babies are made but its just I can not believe Kris got Maddy pregnant when I thought that they were just good friends" Marc Andre said and punched Max in the arm.
"There was not much to do in the room I was in with Maddy plus our friendship just connected more being together in such a small space. And hell as you all know I had wanted a more intimate relationship with her since I had met her. She is perfect and I love her" Kris explained and then the door opened to the bathroom and Maddy walked back out. All the guys looked at her as she walked towards them.
"Did I miss something because why are you all staring at me?" Maddy wondered.
"Sorry Maddy but I just told the guys about the baby" Kris said.
"Oh yeah, Kris kinda knocked me up while we were kidnapped" Maddy laughed and then moved back to her spot next to Kris. They guys laughed at Maddy's comment and then gave their congratulations to her and Kris.
Finally the guys left and let Maddy and Kris recover from the visit.
"Your friends are hilarious" Maddy said smiling.
"They are characters but I love them like my family. Now where were we when they showed up?" Kris asked Maddy and she leaned down to kiss Kris again.
Maddy pull back from the kiss and looked at Kris, "I hope that helped".
"Yes that helped a lot but I am not done with you yet" Kris smiled and pulled Maddy back down for several more kisses.

Chapter 7
The doctor started shocking Kris and his heartbeat resume back to normal after the first time. The doctor and nurses finished up in the surgical room and then got Kris situated in the recovery room.
Maddy woke up during the night with a surprise. She had felt Kris coming to her in her dreams and telling her that he loved her and everything would be fine and he had kissed her. It had felt realistic but she knew she was asleep and he was in surgery.
"God, if you are here please listen to me. I need Kris to get through surgery. He is my world and the father of my unborn baby. I can not live without him and of course I love him with all my heart and soul" Maddy prayed to herself quietly. She got comfortable again and went back to sleep sending Kris good thoughts in her mind.
Back in the recovery room the nurses were checking all the patients.
"Kris, can you open your eyes for me" the nurse said. Kris did and of course it was hard because he felt so tired.
"That's great Kris, you are going to be fine" the nurse reassured him. Kris closed his eyes again and just relaxed.
A little while later on he was moved into Maddy's room. He looked over at her and saw she was sleeping and connected to some machines but then again he was too. He ended up falling back to sleep because that's about all he had the energy to do at that moment.
Maddy woke up late the next morning and noticed that Kris was in the room with her. He was connected to machines that were monitoring his stats. She smiled realizing that he was alive and that's all she wanted.
Maddy quietly said another prayer to God, "Thank you for sending him back to me". Maddy laid on her side and just watched him sleep.
A nurse came in to check on them, "Good morning Maddy, looks like you got a roommmate".
"Yeah and he is the best one ever" Maddy said smiling.
"How are you feeling this morning?" the nurse asked checking Maddy's stats and the baby monitor too.
"I feel ok and actually for the first time in a while I do not feel nauseous but really hungry" Maddy realized.
"Well that is a great sign and your breakfast should be here soon. And it looks like your baby's heartbeat is good too" the nurse noted. Then the nurse went to check on Kris.
Maddy just sat and watched the nurse check over Kris. She was happy that even though the first month or so of her pregnancy she had not been to see a doctor or eaten right, that everything with the baby was going well.
The nurse left and then someone else brought in Maddy's breakfast and she ate. While she was eating she heard Kris's voice, "Hey Maddy".
"Kris hey you are awake. How are you feeling?" Maddy asked stopping eating to talk to Kris.
"I feel like Rupper's truck ran me over and over" Kris joked. That made Maddy smile Kris was going to be fine.
"No Mike did not run you over. You were shot by one of the kidnappers. Do you not remember that?"
"I remember that but not much else after that" Kris said.
"Well you have been through a lot and I am just so glad that you are here with me. If I had.....ummmm" Maddy could not finish her sentence with out tears starting again.
"Oh Maddy its ok. I wish I could hold you but I am kinda stuck" Kris joked again hoping to get a laugh out of Maddy, which he did. She laughed and that made him feel better too.
"Oh Kris you always know when I need a laugh and I love you too".
"Glad to hear that because I love you" Kris said smiling.
"Oh I have some news for you but I am not sure what you will think" Maddy said uncertainly.
"What's up?" Kris asked.
"Well you know when we were being held captive in that dingy room and we were uhm...well...we got close" Maddy stuttered and blushed slightly embarrassed.
"We made love, Maddy. It is nothing to be embarrassed about. We love each other so we wanted to show each other. Now what are you trying to tell me?"

Chapter 6
Things were starting to seem bleak for Maddy and Kris and their kidnappers were starting to get more annoyed that their demands were not being met.
One evening they came in and started yelling at Maddy and one of them smack her and that pissed Kris off majorly he jumped up and pushed that guy and then the other guy jumped in too. The second guy and Kris really got into it and Kris did not know but that guy had a gun. They continued to fight until all of a sudden there was a loud bang and both men went down.
Maddy screamed when she heard the loud bang sound, "Oh god Kris" she said getting over to Kris and the kidnapper guy moved and they saw blood and he check himself and they realized it was Kris who was bleeding.
"Call 911" Maddy screamed at the men as she tried her best to stop Kris from bleeding. She grabbed a towel and pushed it on Kris's wound on his abdomen. The kidnappers finally gave up and called 911 and sure enough the police and ambulance showed up and took Maddy and Kris to the hospital and the police arrested the kidnappers.
On the ride to the hospital the medics talked to Maddy and worked hard on Kris. Maddy cried because she did not want to lose Kris. She loved him more than anything, "You have to save him. I love him and need him"
"Miss we are doing all we can" the medic said to her. Maddy nodded and then looked back at Kris and took his hand in hers and prayed.
They got to the hospital and Kris was taken into surgery and Maddy was taken to get checked out too.
Maddy was given a very extensive check up because of what she had been through. They were talking to her and giving her tests to make sure she was healthy.
At one point the doctor came in and walked over to Maddy, "Maddy, I have a pretty serious question to ask you so I need the truth. I was checking over your tests results and one thing surprised me. Were you raped by one of the guys who held you captive?"
"No, why?" Maddy asked looking at the doctor with a confused look.
"Maddy you are pregnant".
Maddy looked down at her lap and then put a hand on her abdomen, "I thought I was but I was not completely sure".
"Who is the father, Maddy if you were not raped?"
"Kris" Maddy stated as she looked up at the doctor.
The doctor just nodded, "Kris, the guy you were being held with is the father of your baby".
"Yes he is and I need him to live because I want him to be in his child's life and my life too" Maddy said hugging herself and then started crying. The doctor gave her a pat on the back, "They are working to save him for you and your baby".
"Thanks doctor" Maddy said and then got comfortable in her hospital bed and prayed for Kris.
"You need sleep, so try and do that and we will give you Kris's status when we find out" the doctor said.
"Thank you doc. I appreciate that a lot" Maddy said yawning and then falling asleep.
Meanwhile the doctors were working hard on Kris. The gun shot hit him in the lower abdomen. He had been bleeding a lot but the doctor was able to get the bullet out of Kris but then he started bleeding hard again badly. Kris flat lined and the doctors yelled, "Get the electric paddles because we have to save him!"

Chapter 5

The days were just going by for Maddy and Kris but it was getting tough. Their kidnappers gave them some food at random times but there was not much else to do. There were times when they got tired of seeing each other and then the times when they needed to be close.
One evening after the kidnappers left them alone for the night, Kris was trying to get Maddy to become intimate with him but she was not having any of it. She was purposely ignoring Kris and he noticed, "Maddy what's wrong, baby?"
"Leave me the fuck alone, Kris" Maddy demanded as she pushed Kris off of her.
"Damn baby all you had to say was not tonight or something like that but why are you acting so bitchy? Usually you do not mind us making love" Kris said extremely annoyed and moving away from Maddy and going to rest with his back to her.
Maddy moved so that her back was to Kris's back and she sighed feeling exhausted. She knew she needed to explain herself to Kris but she could not tell him the real reason so she just said, "Kris I am sorry about yelling at you but I am scared and stressed that we might be here and never see our families again".
Kris turned around to see Maddy's back and he could tell she was now crying. Her shoulders were shaking and he heard her sobs he turned her so that she was looking at him. "Maddy its ok I know its hard on both of us now but we gotta just be there for each other and think positively that we will be home soon. I miss my family and friends just like you".
"I know you miss everyone too and I should never had yelled or cussed you out. I am just so tired and have been so nauseous and I can not take it anymore. I want my own bed and my life back. I want to go home" Maddy said crying again.
Kris held her close and kiss the top of her head, "I know sweetheart, I know".
Maddy cried and Kris held her and let her cry her eyes out until she finally fell asleep and Kris laid her down and put the blanket over them. Kris fell asleep too and prayed to himself that they would be found soon.
The next day Maddy woke up again with the nauseous feeling again and went back into the bathroom and threw up. Kris noticed and got up to check on her.
"Maddy, baby are you ok?" Kris asked walking in on Maddy throwing up. He grabbed a towel and handed it to Maddy. She took it and washed her face.
"No but I feel better now for some reason" Maddy said smiling.
"I just do not understand why you keep waking up lately and throwing up when you barely eat anything. Its weird" Kris's concern making Maddy feel guiltier for not saying what she knew about the fact that she might be pregnant but she could not mess up what she had with Kris. He had rights but she could be wrong and not be pregnant and it is stress related or who knows. Maddy hugged Kris and then looked up at him and then touched his face and he leaned down to kiss her. She then whispered in his ear, "Let's take a shower together". Kris smirked at her and he turned on the shower.
Kris helped Maddy get undressed and he smiled at how beautiful she was and she blushed when he looked at her and then said to her, "Tu es belle, Madeline". Maddy could not help herself when she looked at Kris his body was just perfect. They got into the shower and Kris gently helped wash Maddy and she did the same to him.
